Summer Wedding: An Occasion to Give Back

As part of our wedding this summer, my wife Jamie and I decided to raise money for NCEF. In lieu of handing out party favors, we donated to this organization that is close to our hearts. We also encouraged guests to donate on their own, and put a link to do so in our wedding registry. In all, we raised $425 for the charity.

Weddings are elaborate affairs. However, amidst the joy and celebration we still wanted to remember those less fortunate. We chose NCEF because of our passion for education. I myself have been involved with NCEF on and off since its inception; Jamie teaches English as a second language in an urban public school. Throughout our lives, education has been extremely important to us, and has contributed to our professional success. NCEF was the obvious choice based on our personal and professional experiences.
