2009/2010 NCEF Executive Committee
The Executive Committee serves to keep NCEF functioning on a day to day
basis. Deeply involved in every decision related to the inner workings
of the organization, it makes sure the basic functions of Monitoring,
Reporting and managing legal responsibilities are done smoothly. It
consists of a Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Treasurer, Secretary,
Fundraising manager, Public Relations officer, and a Student Selection

Omprakash Gnawali Chief Executive Officer (CEO)
Om is a post-doctoral fellow in Computer Science at Stanford
University. He has a Ph.D. from the University of Southern California
(USC), and M.Eng. and B.S. degrees from the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology (MIT), all in Computer Science. Om has volunteered with
NCEF since its founding in 2002. Om grew up in Kathmandu, Nepal and
has visited 27 (out of 75) districts in Nepal, many on foot. He serves as the

Hesky Fisher Treasurer
Hesky lives in New York City, where he works for Google as a Software Engineer. In 2002, he received a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from MIT, which is where he met Om. Together, they created NCEF based on the belief that education is the key to helping people help themselves.

Steven Kurt Lustig Secretary
Steven has a BS in Mechanical Engineering from MIT (1993), MS in
Mechanical Engineering (1995) and MBA (2009) from Georgia Tech (1995). He lives in Atlanta
and works as a manager in global supply chain management for a large
electronics company. Steven has visited a number of countries around
the world (although not Nepal) and based on those experiences, believes
in supporting education for children who otherwise could not afford it.

Inku Subedi Fundraising Manager
Inku is a Ph.D. student in Sociology at Brown University. She was a fellow
at The Institute for
Women's Policy Research and did her undergraduate studies in
Anthropology/Sociology and Psychology at Lafayette College.
She grew up in Kathmandu and have been actively involved in addressing the needs of children orphaned and displaced by the conflict in Nepal.

Aadit Sitaula
Publicity Officer
Aadit lives in Boston and works as a Project Manager. Aadit has a BS in Computer Engineering/MIS and a MS in Management from Eastern Nazarene College. He believes education is an essential long-term investment for social and economic development. Abhishek Sharma Student Selection Officer
Abhishek is pursuing a Ph.D. in Computer Science at the University of
Southern California, Los Angeles. He has a Masters in Computer Science
from USC (2008) and a Bachelors in Mathematics and Computing from
IIT, Delhi (2003). Abhishek grew up in India, and believes that
education is an important tool for improving the social conditions in
developing countries like India and Nepal. Abhishek can be reached at
